In an era of increasing conformity in the British art world, dominated by the theory-led practice of Reynolds and the Royal Academy, Gainsborough's art provided a vital alternative. Unfortunately the Old Hall is currently closed to the public, so we wanted to be able to make it possible for you to see all the hard work our local schools have put into the exhibition.
